ODM,WIPER,FORD KENYA TO SIGN DEAL??

ODM awaiting to sign a deal with wiper to allow the retired prime minister to stand a chance by  2018.our inside sources established that both parties are planning to sign an MOU that will allow the former prime minister have a chance probably his last chance by 2018 because it is believed that the kind of following he commands in both western and Nyanza including coast province if all were to vote is about 5.5 million voters.  The issue that burns most supporters of Raila Odinga is that the luhyas din't participate well because last analysis showed that about 65% luhyas voted and if they were to vote all of them they could have made Raila   the president of the republic. Since Kamba vote is about 1.8 million if added it is a whelming 8.5 million votes.Ford Kenya’s ,Moses Wet...

Men deported from Saudi Arabia for being ‘too Handsome’

A group of men have allegedly been deported from Saudi Arabia after they were deemed too handsome. It’s rarely seen as something that will go against you, but possession of good looks proved troublesome for a number of men attending a cultural festival in Saudi Arabia, after being ejected from the event. The contingent, from the United Arab Emirates, were reportedly ordered to leave the event and were deported because officials believed that their looks could corrupt young women in the country. Arabic newspaper Elaph stated: “A festival official said the three Emiratis were taken out on the grounds they are too handsome and that the commission [for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vices] members feared female visitors could fall for them.” However, the men in question have denied that their looks were to blame, but instead said that authorities were concerned by a female artist travelling with the group. ...

Mugisha leaves NTV for Uganda

NTV prime time news anchor Maurice Mugisha is set to make a return to his old workplace NMG Uganda before joining NTV Kenya.  Mugisha had become a household name in Kenya's media circles and blended in well with his Kenyan counterparts. He earned his place and did well for himself as far as competing in Kenya's media industry. It is not clear why he is living at a time when NTV Kenya needs his talents most as his move comes when the station is facing stiff competition from other major TV stations in Kenya. His friends and colleagues took to Twitter to wish him well while his Ugandan counterparts welcomed him back home. This leaves KTN's Joy Doreen Biira as the only Ugandan or foreigner on top flight news circles in Kenya. Doreen has also cemented her place at KTN as a key reporter and news anchor.

Why Ruto wants to be tried in absentia!!!

Ruto's demands to be tried in absentia came as a shocker to Kenyans and the ICC judges. The laws are very clear on how suspects are supposed to be handled and one must be present for the trials to commence. Ruto's move is seen as a way to boycott the trials, he simply wants Kenyans to believe that the trials are of no consequence and that he is innocent. Ruto fought so hard to get the top seat in governemnt because according to him, he could be immune from these trials, he supported Uhuru so that he could clinch on power, power will shield him from being tried. The ICC which has a clear way to deal with suspects will have none of this, according to the ICC, this is nonessential of the highest order. Ruto could be arrested if he fails to co-operate. The only way to be clean is to go and clear his name at the Hague and come back clean.

How k24 is mstreating Journalists

"Working conditions for correspondents working for the revamped K-24 TV is horrible, to say but the least. Since November 2012, many correspondents never received any pay yet they deliver news daily all at our own expense and efforts. “Don’t think of facilitation since u will be dreaming…we do forward our claims every month to the person in charge of correspondent diary, but nothing seem to materialize,” said one correspondent. When Granton Samboja took control of Mediamax as the CEO, he promised many good things, but they are yet to arrive. Instead, he hired new staff and the old guards in the field, thus denying young talent a chance to grow. “He paid the old journalists from KTN and CITIZEN TV and paid them hundreds of thousands of shillings while a correspondent, using his or her own camera has nothing in the pocket.” One correspondent told the Jackal News: “Guess what I have not paid my house rent of last month — 2200 shillings — and now due to delay I will...

KTN's Ali and Namu get death threats from Internal Security

Journalists John Allan Namu and Mohammed Ali both of KTN have received death threats over the story they published two weeks ago on the death of Minister George Saitoti and six others. Sources say they are receiving these threats from the Internal Security department. The exclusive stories Ghururi ya Saitoti and Death in Ten Minutes by Ali and Namu exposed how there could be foul play in the deaths of six people. It is said that there is a police squad that has been constituted by drug lords to teach Ali and Namu a lesson they will never forget, or possibly murder them. Responding to this, Standard Media CEO Sam Shollei said the media can not be intimidated because Kenya has freedom of the Media. " we will stand by the journalist and encourage them to unearth more foul plays" Shollei said. Ali and Namu have been exposing many controversial things that happen in Kenya key among them the drugs that were caught at the port of Mombasa and the Artur brothers.
