Journalists John Allan Namu and Mohammed Ali both of KTN have received death threats over the story they published two weeks ago on the death of Minister George Saitoti and six others. Sources say they are receiving these threats from the Internal Security department.
The exclusive stories Ghururi ya Saitoti and Death in Ten Minutes by Ali and Namu exposed how there could be foul play in the deaths of six people.
It is said that there is a police squad that has been constituted by drug lords to teach Ali and Namu a lesson they will never forget, or possibly murder them. Responding to this, Standard Media CEO Sam Shollei said the media can not be intimidated because Kenya has freedom of the Media. " we will stand by the journalist and encourage them to unearth more foul plays" Shollei said.
Ali and Namu have been exposing many controversial things that happen in Kenya key among them the drugs that were caught
at the port of Mombasa and the Artur brothers.
