NTV prime time news anchor Maurice Mugisha is set to make a return to his old workplace NMG Uganda before joining NTV Kenya. Mugisha had become a household name in Kenya's media circles and blended in well with his Kenyan counterparts.
He earned his place and did well for himself as far as competing in Kenya's media industry. It is not clear why he is living at a time when NTV Kenya needs his talents most as his move comes when the station is facing stiff competition from other major TV stations in Kenya.
His friends and colleagues took to Twitter to wish him well while his Ugandan counterparts welcomed him back home. This leaves KTN's Joy Doreen Biira as the only Ugandan or foreigner on top flight news circles in Kenya. Doreen has also cemented her place at KTN as a key reporter and news anchor.
